FNDT-153-S001-2023: Creative Computing
This introductory course provides an understanding of compiled language from the perspective of artists and designers and systematically and clearly explain the basic ideas and creative processes of digital media art practices. By learning Processing/P5.js, students will learn the fundamentals of code, interaction, and procedural thinking for creative output. The course includes a logical introduction to coding, Processing/P5.js language and grammar, creative ideas and basic processes of interactive art, real-time interactive art using web cameras, and data communication using Arduino and sensors. Weekly small programming assignments culminate in original code and a final project using techniques learned in class. No previous coding experience is necessary.
