PNTG-315-S091-2023: Painting Practices: Colour in Painting and Visual Culture
A combo course of studio assignments/projects, research oral presentation, creative writing about colour/ colour experimentation, painting. The online topics class will be a series of info-sharing sessions about colour, its materiality as a pigment, paint, and a tool for making art. Students will engage, experiment and research colour as a creative process tool; focusing upon colour as a relational and emotive site of meaning both culturally and personally.
