I really didn't like what I drew for this assignment so I reconceptualized my piece, drawing instead from my Celtic Tree zodiac sign and addressing some problems I saw in my last work.

The zodiac sign done was Cancer; what stood out to me in the research was the moon, loyalty, and the fact that I realized how well the symbol fit into the two crab claws in the center, so I went with this composition.

For my zodiac sign I chose Libra. I wanted to make a deity or goddess like figure of sorts to go with the idea of 'balance,' and in my illustration she acts as the scale in this 'universe'. Behind her I decided to include the planet Venus, as in my research libra seems to be associated with Venus as its "ruling planet".
