We’re currently looking for students interested in showing their work during TEDxEastVan happening on April 23rd, 2016 at the York Theatre on Commercial Drive.
The day-long event includes 12 speakers and performers sharing their “ideas worth spreading.” There will also be activities and social spaces designed to fuel discussion, thinking, and collaboration. Animations will be shown throughout the day, offering great exposure for your students, as well as a chance to interact with people from their local and global community.
This year’s theme is “Move,” which represents change, intense emotions, performances, and art and culture. East Vancouver has always been a centre for underground movements, be they social or arts based, and our diverse range of speakers, performers, and audience members will have a chance to celebrate this dynamic spirit with their own versions of “Move” in the heart of East Vancouver.
