(This feedback was gathered by ECSU at two sessions that included ECSU board directors, student representatives on University Committees, Graduate students, and Foundation year and other students. Including it here verbatim.) KL

"Currently, it is difficult to engage in cross-discipline projects because there is no shared space. Students would like to have a common space for collaborative project-building and learning. One possible idea is to have a day or more where all of the majors can come together in a shared space to discuss their work, practice, ideas, views, and collaborate on a project(s) each term. There could also be an online platform to support students who would like to work on a project with someone from a different major. Although they are all artists, the system currently silos them to be separated from each other.

They also highlighted the lack of structural support to engage in knowledge transfer because unless you are enrolled in the specific major, you do not have access to the resources and/or rooms. Additionally, non-major students are low on the priority list for course enrollment and rarely get the chance to take a course in a different discipline."
