Yesterday, we went through the video editing software, Camtasia. We discussed how to use the Camtasia template (posted in "additional resources" under Week 4), how to upload and record media, and how to do basic editing. We also went through Loom.com, which is alternative to Camtasia. Loom is an easy screen and video recording software that allows you to record 5 minute videos. It is great for quick tutorials and easy sharing, but has very limited editing features.

This week everyone will be created a short micro-video (1-4 minutes) using Camtasia, Loom, or the video editing software of your choice. The micro-video should be related to your course (Welcome video, content video, demo video etc.) Micro-videos are a great way to increase instructor presence, create easy and digestible content, and provide students with alternatives to text based asynchronous learning. Please, complete your video by Tuesday next week, as we will be doing a peer-review activity using Moodle's workshop features. If you have any questions, let me know.

If you don't have access to Camtasia yet, please complete the form here and e-mail me once you have completed it, so I can process the license quickly.

Thank you!
