CSPH-010-SU01-2026: Photo Story: Spaces Places + Everyday
This online course will be guided by lectures and in-class discussions. Students will come up with an original idea or concept and turn it into a personal photo project. We’ll learn how to photograph trivial things in a new way. We’ll explore how emotions can be translated into a photograph and how they can connect you with an audience.
We’ll talk about light and how it can make or break your photo. We’ll discuss ways of gaining access to off-limits areas, both private and public, and we’ll talk about creating your own code of ethics as you improve as a photographer. At the end of this course, you should be able to continue to develop your project and create new ones.
We’ll have open discussions about everyone’s projects, and every week there will be a new assignment.
