
PROF-311-SU01-2026: Professional Practice
Through lectures, in-class work sessions, exercises, research, and assigned projects, students will learn about contemporary professional practice and self-promotion across design disciplines. The course focuses on industry research, best practices, presentation skills, project management tools, ethics, and employment-search strategies. Projects and exercises are developed within a framework of critical thinking, applying course content independently and within team structures. Students are expected to have a working knowledge of presentation software and non-coding website platforms (e.g., Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, etc).
