HUMN-306-SU01-2026: Studies in the Humanities for Design
CRITICAL PATHS IN DESIGN
This Special Topic is called "Critical Paths in Design". We focus on critical thought and practice in design. It is conceived for all design students, in all fields of practice, and for those interested in how design addresses and practices critique. The course involves critical writing and speaking, critical or speculative design (where the design project itself carries critical intention) and design activism, where design serves a cause. Students do individual and group tasks.
