Re-threading the Circular Economy

This course examines the circular economy from various lenses: the original documents produced by the Ellen Macarthur Foundation; traditional Japanese culture; local Indigenous cultures; Fibersheds; and Earth Logic (an Earth-centric view of production). Students will explore the differences in these approaches and design a series of products for different contexts and scales of circularity.

Keywords: consumer agency, diversity, compost, remanufacture, decoloniality
