Drawing is a vital material thinking process. This course will explore how ideas emerge within drawing in response to materials, constraints, the passage of time and iterative processes. Drawing represents an embodied enactment—it invites an immersion in time and matter. Students will engage with contemporary drawing methodologies and extend their drawing and research skills in relation to the production of meaning and intent within their work. They will develop individualized approaches to technical, formal and conceptual skills within assigned and self-directed projects.
