In this topics course, Illustration in the Digital Age, we will be addressing the rising use of digital technologies in modern day illustration. Critical discourse on the use of digital applications will help students navigate the benefits to workflow, and the consequences of its efficiency. Short-deadline “rush” projects will challenge students to match the pace of professional freelance illustration, and explore concept art, character design, comics and graphic novels, editorial illustration, and publication.
