This course moves in the space between sound and sculpture, where physical materials and audible vibrations meet and interact. We will experiment with speakers, instruments, acoustics, sonic environments, and motion/kinetics. To support these experiments and we will look at examples of sound practices that attend to the intermedial and often disruptive potential of sound, noise, and listening.
