This course will introduce the concepts and techniques central to the practice of printmaking in a hands-on, workshop environment. A variety of methods and approaches for making prints will be presented in a series of weekly demonstrations and assignments, which may include projects in monotype, intaglio, relief, stencil making, and hybrid printmaking. This course will consider how artists have explored the printed image and the role that the print has played in cultural production.
