Ceramic Technology for Design & Production: CRAM-304 and INDD-350
In this condensed summer course we will learn basic 3D modeling, mold-making and slip-casting methods and skills. Students will learn to use Rhino 3D modeling software, prototype making methods such as 3D printing & turning plaster, plaster mold making techniques, slip-casting skills, and aspects of ceramic surface treatment including glaze application and decal printing.
Students will produce multiples to better understand the ideas of production as well as the historical relevance of working in a material which serves a wider audience.
