Wrap-Up and Feedback Forum
I am opening this Forum up a bit early, alongside the Course Evaluations, to allow you to think about how to respond nd to take the time to contribute to an end-of-term Wrap-Up discussion.
Please address the following items (I may add more as forum posts as we go.)
This is meant to create space for you all to reflect on and share your thoughts about your own cotributions to the course, and more general responses to the course itself, and provide feedback for me for the next time I teach this course.
1) Please discuss what some of the major learning outcomes were for you in the course. What components were you the most excited/inspired/affected by?
2) How did the level of time and emphasis on independent studio work work for you in this course? Did it allow you enough time to make a significant body of work?
3) What sort of content and/or themes would you like to see added to the course? Is there anything you would suggest removing?
4) Talk about your own engagement with the course - what formats and/or content encouraged you to participate more and which did you feel resistant to? Is there anything I could do to encourage more participation/engagement?
5) Next year I plan to teach this course face-to-face wih a large online component (1/3 to 1/2 online) and I would really like feedback on what portions of the course you think work better online, and what components you think might work better in a physical classroom. Some of this I know already (crits are likely better f2f, for example) but I am really open to feedback here...
6) Please list any technical issues you had (this is more for the sake of giving feedback to IT services regarding the use of this alternative server.)
If you don't want to respond to all of this, or prefer to email some of this to me that is fine too.
