This second year photography course complements PHOT 200 and enables participants to build their artistic identities through the development of lens-based inquiry and photo-based works. Through demonstrations, assignments and critiques, participants will acquire skills in both digital and analogue media with a focus on colour. These will include the use of various analogue and digital cameras, colour printing and management, scanning and other digital applications; all aimed towards the production of strong and challenging bodies of work. In addition students will also begin to contextualize their photography within historical and contemporary critical frameworks through readings, presentations and the study of a variety of photographic practices.
