Optional description of the work:

I feel a little nostalgic when thinking about the illustrator's journey. I graduate this semester and have been doing a lot of reflecting on my time at Emily Carr over the last four years, two of which were online. For my final piece for this class I wanted to echo the piece I made as my Emily Carr-specific required artwork when I applied four years ago! Four years ago I drew a one shot illustration The End of the Fucking World (not that I knew what a one shot illustration was back then) because it was my favourite show at the time. For this final project I drew Sophia Coppola a la Albrecht Durer holding objects that represent my favourite of her movies, The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, and Marie Antoinette. I have a lot more to say about the drawing but I'll wait 'till crit tomorrow:) I've had a great time at Emily Carr, despite the pandemic. It's bittersweet to finally be leaving, but I'm happy that Amory gave us this Illustrator's Journey prompt because I feel like this project is a good way to say goodbye:')
