(DATABASE) PROJECT THREE: Three Strong Sketches

my story is about my friend "old white". I knew him a very long time ago in pre-school, after 18 years, he invited me to the company to work with him when I came back home from Canada.

These are some sketches of his personality, a very talented man with a lot of bad habits.

I suppose these would be for some kind of introspective indie movie. I pulled the theme of rebellion, contrast, and sort of the oppressiveness of conservative-leaning entities from the zine I wrote. I had to take that little pinch of story and kind of run with it for these.

+Bonus sketches because I for a week straight totally forgot that we needed a likeness included, but the thumbnails work with the theme, too and were part of the development process.

Ryunosuke Kikuchi

I had a childhood friend in Japan and used to spend a lot of summers together whenever I went back.
Having a friend to spend the summer break with was the most memorable moments during my childhood and I wanted to capture that feeling of summer adventure in
this slice of life film poster. I also wanted to highlight the traditional Japanese drum (Taiko) aspect as I feel that it would be fun and unique to draw.
