This is my mock poster for a musical staring bill Murray in which he plays an old man who is washed up, yet full of charm and love. He spends his time feeding birds and reading to his neighbours young child. The dentures are from an irl scene where my neighbour terry took out his teeth, I didn’t know people could have fake teeth so it terrified me but I don’t think that was on purpose. I think the musical would be a little bit like les mis.

This work was inspired by alternative indie film posters and others where the colours pop and the more somewhat realistic mixes with the doodl-ey. The plot of the film would have been a recollection of my friendship with a guy who used to spend most of my time with. One notable memory is every summer we would go and catch Garter Snakes in town and just handle them then release. The colours tried to emulate happy memories, mixed with the bittersweet reality that we grew up differently and drifted apart.

I have another version of this piece with the character in the background, but I really found the desolation in just this simplicity more appealing so that's the one I've chosen to showcase. I tried to explore a different art medium with this piece and force myself out of my comfort zone. All together this is something I enjoy, though I found it quite challenging.

This artwork is a rendering of one of my friends, heather, and the dog she hopes to own in the future with her favourite car, her jeep, on a beach setting. There is also a bonfire happening in her head, as that's one of her favourite things to do during the summer with friends.

This movie is about me and my friend Nicole.

We met in high school and we were very close friends and roommates, but we stopped contacting each other in Grade12 because of some misunderstanding. It wasn't until we went to a different city and entered university that we started to reconnect and clear up our misunderstandings.

This is a classic youth movie about growing up, I want to express that we are all essentially different individuals, so we will have misunderstandings, conflicts, or arguments, but in the end, when we grow up, we will realize that these are not problems. In fact, we have already become one of the most important people in each other's lives.

I want to express the feeling of two separate individuals, there is a distance between us, and we can't blend together, so in the picture, it is the state of the two of us after the reunion, there is a certain distance between the two characters. But we influence and relate to each other, so there are some similarities and overlaps in the clothing of the two characters. For example, her bag is the same color as my hat, while my bag is the same color as her hat, as well as our shoes, are the same.

The flowers in the background also represent our state, we each have a distinct character, red is me, passionate and aggressive, white is her, calm and indifferent. But we will also have to blend with each other for the sake of each other, like the yellow flower, between the passionate red and indifferent white.
