My group chose the prompt of animal and I decided to draw a puppy having a party. The leave behind is made in an invitation style that you would get in the mail for an event/wedding etc. Come celebrate with the pup on my website and instagram. Save the date :)

I am planning on making this a risograph, the colours are just an approximation and there are borders to make it look Polaroid-ish!

Our group chose animals as our theme, so I went with the Siberian weasel for my piece. In northeastern Chinese folklore, Siberian weasel are both feared and revered because of their penchant for trickery and luring humans to their demise. This longstanding belief has also lend itself to a superstition that if one inflicts pain or harm to a weasel, they are capable of acting on vengeance and tragedy will soon fall on the offender.

Group prompt ANIMAL. Inspired by the wild / urban life around me. I am enamoured with the local crows.

While making this, I was thinking about the natural world in the way of being beyond the anthropocentric reach.

Poison oak and its berries cannot be readily picked and eaten safely humans (and other mammals), however birds, such as crows, can and do sustain themselves this way.

Some things are not for us.

Artist's note:

Thank you for your patience in all that I do. Always appreciate it. I'm sorry that I was not as punctual as I wanted or needed to be.
