Deadline Render Farm | Deadline for Maya | Deadline is a render farm management program. It allows a single scene file to be efficiently rendered over multiple computers via the Local Area Network. For this reason, Deadline requires all project files be organized and accessible on our network storage space, the R:\ Render drive. For our farm we have a number of dedicated 24/7 render machines, the lab computers; which are only on the render farm when campus is closed, and a GPU render server, making quick work of Redshift jobs. This means that nighttime is the best time for rendering. Submit your job today and it will likely be done tomorrow. |

Peer Tutors | The Peer Tutors are here to provide help to their fellow animation students. This is an alternate method of support in addition to the instructors and technicians. The Peer Tutors are typically 3rd and sometimes 4th year students that are excited to share their knowledge and skills. Peer tutors are a very valuable resource since they have recently taken the same courses you have and most likely ran into the same problems you will. The assignments and their issues are fresh in their mind. if you are interested in being a Peer Tutor, please email animtech@ecuad.ca. They say the best way to learn is to teach! |
